From Conservatory To Spacious Kitchen: See How ShapeHouse Helped Kris Expand Their Coulsdon Home.

Kris had contacted ShapeHouse because they were looking to grow the family, and as a result, they needed to expand the footprint of their kitchen.

The first step in the project was the removal of an existing conservatory, which had limited the size of the kitchen.

With the conservatory out of the way, ShapeHouse was able to develop a single-story rear extension that would provide ample space for Kris’s growing family.

The extension was designed with sliding bi-fold doors allowing plenty of natural light to flood the area. Additionally, a pitched roof with 3 Velux windows was installed to maximize the amount of light that entered the space.

To ensure that the new kitchen area was comfortable and efficient, ShapeHouse installed an overlay system with underfloor heating. This would help to keep the space warm and cosy, even on chilly days. Finally, a sliding pocket door was added to the design to maximize the available space.

Despite the challenges that often arise during construction projects, ShapeHouse was able to complete the work in time for the arrival of Kris’s new addition.

The result was a warm, welcoming kitchen space that would be perfect for cooking family meals, entertaining friends, and making memories for years to come.
